Measure 11 cases

Oregonvoters approved Measure 11 in November 1994 to apply minimum mandatory sentences with no possibility of a reduction in sentence for offenses such as murder and assault I & II. More on Measure 11 cases.

DUI / DUII

If you are arrested for DUI or DUII, and you fail or refuse a breath-test, you face an automatic suspension of your driver’s license for one to two years by the Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) unless you request a hearing within 10 days. More on DUI / DUII.

You could also face a type of protective or restraining order known as a “no-contact order.” A no-contact order means that you are legally barred from having any physical or verbal contact with the victim for as long as you are on probation, would could be two or three years.
